Day 3 started rough as most of our Cadets (black belts 12-14) were shut out of the medal rounds fighting hard against top level competition with the exception of silver medalist Angus Worley who lost in the light-heavyweight final in his first hi-performance competition. However, there was a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of Marko Belevski, who floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee in four gutsy matches to earn himself a bronze in the Youth (10-11) flyweight division. Congratulations to all the warriors that went down fighting.
The final day of competition went great as our colour belts showed the fruits of their labour! Poomse golds were earned by Jayden Fung, Noah Nacsa and Madison Noble; a silver from Olivia Telford; and bronzes from Angelique Orozco and Lena Morrison. Sparring medals seemed just as popular as golds were won by Rennie McBurnie, Jayden Fung, Summer Noble and Madison Noble; silvers from Angelique Orozco, Noah Nacsa, Brandon Bernardo and Markus Kirksey. Congratulations to these future champions, keep up the hard work!
